Hello and welcome to the website of the Ballarat Racewalking Club.
What's in a name? We are incorporated as Ballarat Walkers Club (No-A0036830K) but trade locally as Ballarat Racewalking Club.
Our club was established in July 1995 by a group of Racewalkers wishing to promote and grow Racewalking in the Ballarat and District area.
We normally train on Mondays and Wednesdays at Lake Wendouree (from
the Mcdonalds Band Rotunda) from 4.15pm until 5.15pm but, during summer
time, on some Wednesdays we train at Llanberris Reserve (York St) from
4.30pm.

- this year's Victorian Country Roadwalking Championships are in
Ballarat
The 2012 Victorian Country Roadwalking Championships will be
held in Ballarat on Sunday 27 May. The timetable is as follows

Open Men/Women 10km AV Country Championship 10:10am U20 Men/Women 5km AV Country Championship 10:10am U18 Men/Women 5km AV Country Championship 10:50am U16 Boys/Girls 3km AV Country Championship 10:50am U14 Boys/Girls 3km AV Country Championship 11:15am U12 Boys/Girls 2km RWV Championship 11:15am U10 Boys/Girls 1km RWV Championship |
The venue will be the North Gardens in Lake Wendouree. Check out the

The championships are being hosted by Ballarat Racewalking Club who
will also provide a sausage sizzle using the BBQ facilities on Nursery
Drive. Tea/coffee and pre packaged low risk foods will also be
available.
Walkers must enter the AV Country Championships via the AV website
(www.athsvic.org.au) in the fullness of time.
Walkers may enter the RWV U10 and U12 events on the day. It is not
necessary to pre-enter these two particular events.
